Ziyarat & Sightseeing Full Package Preview

As part of IMI’s 12th International Conference, we are pleased to offer a spiritually and historically enriching Ziyarat & Sightseeing program before, during, and after the academic sessions. This optional program is open to all registered participants and their families, with full package details and pricing forthcoming.

December 23–24: Najaf, Kufa & Atraf Ziyarat

Over two days, participants will visit some of the most revered Islamic sites in Najaf and Kufa:

• Shrine of Imam Ali (ع)
• Shrines of Prophet Nuh (ع) and Prophet Adam (ع)
• Masjid Hannana, Masjid Kumail, Masjid Sehla, Masjid Kufa
• House of Imam Ali (ع)
• Maitham-e-Tammar
• Wadi-us-Salaam (the world’s largest cemetery)

December 25–29: Karbala Conference & Ziyarat

In addition to attending the main conference events, participants will have the opportunity to visit iconic sites surrounding the Haram of Imam Hussain (ع) and Hazrat Abbas (ع):

• Shrine of Imam Hussain (ع)
• Shrine of Hazrat Abbas (ع)
• Tille Zainabiya
• Khimagah Hussaini (site of Ahlulbayt tents)
• Maqaam Ali Akbar (ع), Maqaam Ali Asghar (ع)
• Right and Left Arm Locations of Hazrat Abbas (ع)
• Maqaam of Imam Mahdi (عج)

December 30: Day Trip to Samara, Balad & Kazmain

This full-day trip will include visits to:

• Al-Askari Shrine in Samarra
• Shrine of Sayyid Muhammad in Balad
• Al-Kadhimayn Shrine in Baghdad (Imam Musa al-Kadhim (ع) and Imam Muhammad al-Taqi (ع))

December 31: Optional Babylon Tour

For those wishing to extend their experience, an optional day trip will be offered to explore the ruins of Babylon, including the Hanging Gardens, Ishtar Gate remains, and more. This excursion includes an extra night stay in Karbala, with departures scheduled for January 1, 2026.
