Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians and allied health care professionals involved in the care of patients. 

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

§  Identify potential ethnic and faith-based patient values/considerations that will improve learner’s ability to provide patient centered care

§  Integrate care for non-communicable diseases (given overlapping risk factors) to ensure that care is continuous and reliable

§  Review key findings from current research and innovations in cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedics, oncology, urology, nephrology, radiology, obstetrics, pulmonology, gynecology, endocrinology, radiology, primary care and emergency medicine and other areas of health

§  Provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate and effective for the promotion of health and the treatment of illnesses and risk factors such as obesity

§  Employ improvements in pain management, musculoskeletal disorders, physical medicine and rehabilitation and urology
